The Watts Riots started in 1965. It started when a man named Marquette Fry was arrested by the LAPD when excessive force. The Watts Riots lasted like 5 days. During this days 103RD street was burned to the ground. It was called the "Charcoal Alley". The Watts Riots ended when the National Guard came. At the end 34 people died. $40 million was in damage. |
